In 2018 I was approached by the Alderson to create a large scale metal piece of the Chugach mountain range. The Chugach mountains are right out our backdoor and seen throughout Anchorage, Alaska. This handout plasma piece took 100+ hours to create and measures 4 feet x 6 feet.

In 2019 I was contacted by King Street Brewing Co to create a large scale installation art piece for their brewing company. They specifically wanted mountains with the northern lights above them. I created the northern lights using the plasma cutter to hand-cut over 60 metal pieces. The installation art piece took a total of 80 hours and two days to install.

I was ten years old when I started skiing at Alyeska. A friend of mine was the skier and I contacted the photographer to ask permission to use his photo from a photoshoot at Alyeska. Intitally I was going to use more graphic elements in the art piece, as seen in my sketches but in the end a chose a more traditional route.

Being in nature fuels my work, mental and physical health feels like coming home. After hiking to the top of Peak 2 in the Chugach mountains I was treated with ravens flying over my head within a few feet. This painting started off with perfect lines but as time went on my world was turned upside down by serious health issues with my oldest daughter. All lines and feeling went into the painting and resulted in a splattered paint running down the surface.

Jody contacted me to create a commission on a wood propeller that came from Pottery Barn. Jody and her husband are avid pilots and the Wrangell St. Elias hold a special place in their hearts. I began studying the Wrangell mountains and decide to use Mt. Blackburn and Regal Mountain.
